This site was made so that people could send links to other people that are not truncated in their mail clients. Unlike some other sites that offer a similar feature, this site does not redirect you to marketing or tracking sites first. When you visit a link using this site, you are sent directly there.

A neat way to use shorterlink is with what's called a bookmarklet. With Firefox or Safari, you can create a bookmark with the following Javascript as the address, when you click on the bookmark (ideally in your menu bar) it will submit the site you are currently at to shorterlink and send you to the page displaying the resulting shorter link (just like you had copied and pasted the URL into the form above).
